The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Workforce Labor Coordinator to oversee and optimize staff scheduling across our facilities, with a strong focus on reducing and ultimately eliminating the use of external agency staff. This role will serve as a critical liaison between facility schedulers, operational leadership, and community stakeholders to ensure efficient and cost-effective workforce planning.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a data-driven mindset, and a proactive communication style. Experience with SmartLinx or similar workforce management platforms is highly preferred.

This position is a remote, so it offers you the flexibility of working from home.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with schedulers and community teams to identify staffing needs and ensure optimal staff utilization.
  • Monitor staffing patterns, identify inefficiencies, and implement solutions to reduce reliance on agency labor.
  • Analyze workforce data and trends to forecast needs, develop strategic staffing plans, and support operational goals.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and liaison between scheduling departments and leadership to facilitate effective communication and strategic decision-making.
  • Provide education, training, and ongoing support to facility teams on scheduling best practices and use of scheduling tools.
  • Ensure compliance with staffing regulations and internal labor standards.
  • Maintain accurate reports and dashboards to track progress toward staffing and labor management goals.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance workforce productivity and efficiency.
  • Leverage SmartLinx or similar systems to streamline scheduling and reporting functions.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
    • 2+ years of experience in workforce management, labor coordination, or scheduling in a healthcare or multi-facility environment.
    • Strong proficiency in workforce analytics and strategic planning.
    • Experience with SmartLinx or similar workforce management software is a strong plus.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to build strong relationships across various teams and levels.
    • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on process improvement and results.
    Preferred Skills:
    • Knowledge of labor laws and staffing regulations in healthcare or long-term care settings.
    • Strong Excel skills and experience working with scheduling/HRIS systems.
    • Bilingual communication skills are a plus.
    Service Fee:

    Industry standards applicable to the state depending on work experience and level of expertise.

    Hours:

    US Eastern Standard Time (EST) – 9 AM - 6 PM
