Who you are: 

Regional Admissions Advisor will support the Institutional Relations team by serving as the first point of contact for students applying to CIEE study abroad programs. Successful candidates will be responsible for serving as an expert for a specific institution by advising students regarding program options and the application process. This is an in-person, student-facing role with a strong focus on campus engagement and personalized advising. You will work closely with Managers of Institutional Relations, other Admissions Advisors, and Student Ambassadors. Paramount to student outreach is a focus on providing outstanding service and creative problem solving to prospective students.

 

What you’ll do

  • Serve as an admissions expert, advising students on appropriate CIEE programs based on their academic interests, goals, and eligibility..
  • Provide hands-on guidance to students as they begin, complete, and submit their CIEE applications. Offer individualized support.
  • Manage a high volume of communication (emails, texts, and calls) and respond to inquiries within one working day.
  • Schedule prompt follow-up with prospective students to provide support and determine the level of commitment, and execute strategies to inform students about CIEE programs at all phases of the inquiry and application process.
  • Organize and host information sessions, tabling events, and classroom presentations to raise awareness about CIEE programs.
  • Support the recruitment, training, and supervision of CIEE Student Ambassadors on campus. With the Manager of Institutional Relations, guide their outreach strategies and activities to generate and convert applications for CIEE Study Abroad programs.
  • Work with Institutional Relations managers to ensure alignment with partner institution goals and provide insights from the ground.
  • Achieve personal and team qualitative and quantitative targets (i.e., completed applications and conversion of those applications) set by leadership.
  • Document call information and input data into the company CRM to ensure seamless communication and progress tracking.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to stay current on CIEE program offerings, policies, and tools.


What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with experience in student advising, customer service, higher or a sales-oriented field, through work experience, internships, or education.
  • Study abroad experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable presenting to groups and working one-on-one.
  • High aptitude for attention to detail, strong problem-solving ability, strong written and oral communication skills, a service-oriented mindset, strong organizational skills, excellent time management skills, and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely as part of a team. Demonstrate initiative while also obeing pen to feedback and taking direction when needed.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Location Requirements:

The position is open to candidates located in Arizona, California, Colorado, Iowa, Indiana, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Wisconsin, or Washington.
