The ideal candidate will demonstrate extensive expertise in database administration, capacity planning, performance tuning, disaster recovery planning, and maintaining robust security measures to safeguard sensitive information. QUALIFICATIONS
  • Certifications: Active IAT-II Certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC)
  • Education/Experience: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or an equivalent technical degree from an accredited college or university, and ten (10) years relevant experience.
  • Technical: Comprehensive experience in database administration, including creating user accounts, managing permissions, and implementing access controls. Skilled in troubleshooting, performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery. Proficient in generating business intelligence reports, data validation, and cleansing processes, and ensuring data integrity and security.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls for database systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, providing timely support to users.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime in case of failures.
  • Perform regular capacity planning to ensure databases can handle growing data volumes.
  • Conduct performance tuning activities to enhance overall system efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals to integrate databases with applications.
  • Generate reports and analyze data to support business intelligence and decision-making.
  • Ensure data consistency and accuracy through data validation and cleansing processes.
  • Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Stay abreast of security best practices and implement measures to safeguard data.
  • Provide end-user support on database-related tools and applications.
