The Lead Systems Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customers to deliver innovative and scalable solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • System Design & Development: Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex systems and infrastructure solutions.
  • Technical Leadership: Guide and mentor a team of engineers ensuring adherence to best practices and high-quality engineering standards.
  • Requirements Management: Gather, analyze, and document system requirements from stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Integration & Testing: Oversee system integration, testing, and validation efforts to ensure seamless operation across different components.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Project Management: Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring successful completion of engineering initiatives.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with software, hardware, and network teams to develop integrated solutions.
  • Compliance & Security: Ensure system designs comply with industry standards, cybersecurity best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Incident & Risk Management: Identify potential risks, troubleshoot system issues, and implement preventive measures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation by researching emerging technologies and recommending system improvements.

Qualified candidates will have multiple years of experience and expertise in maintaining Windows based networks. The candidate needs to be technically strong and able to troubleshoot a variety of workstation, network, and server issues. Needs to have the ability to consistently manage various technologies and support the Intelinet Cloud Solution. This position works directly on customer networks and great communication skills is required.

CompTIA, Microsoft, and Cisco certifications are definitely a plus, and a willingness to continue training toward industry certifications is required. Candidates must be self-motivated, have excellent customer service skills, and integrity beyond reproach.

Qualifications and Skills

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of experience in system engineering, 2+ years in a leadership role.

NETWORKING:

  • Solid background in network administration and architecture

  • In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF)
  • Technical certifications preferred (A+, MCTS, VTSP, CCENT, or CCNA)

  • Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN)

  • Installing and configuring networking hardware.

  • Configuration of routers, switches, wireless, and firewalls

  • Design Firewall Configurations that include NAT, PNAT, ACL, Content & Application Policies
  • Design Wireless configurations using SSID & Authentication methods like LDAP, RADIUS

  • Configure VLANs and network segregation

  • Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability

  • Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools

  • Monitor network performance and integrity

  • Conducting regular network performance tests.

  • Create and implement network security measures.

SERVERS, CLOUD, & SECURITY

  • Server 2016+ design, build, maintenance, and management

  • Ability to create and deploy physical and virtual server infrastructure

  • Management of Lights out Management and Lifecycle Management using iDrac or other methods
  • Understanding and ability to support Hyper-V, VMware, Failover Clusters and HA Environments
  • Ability to administrate Active Directory and other primary server roles DNS, DHCP, Print, File
  • Ability to design administer Disaster Recovery Solutions and Infrastructure

  • Ability to administrate Azure and Entra ID

  • Ability to administrate Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams

  • Understanding of Security Authentication methods like MFA, TOTP, SSO, Conditional Access, Zero Trust
  • Strong understanding of virus and malware detection and cleaning technics

  • Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)

WORKSTATIONS

  • Windows 10/11 design, build, maintenance, and management

  • Local, Active Directory, & Entra ID join devices

  • Manage Profiles, Migrations, Application Troubleshooting

  • Installation and configuration of modern software
