We are currently seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join our team and work remotely from the comfort of their own home.

Position Summary:

As an Intermediate Accountant, you will be responsible for undertaking the production accounting activities, including the preparation of financial statements and taxation requirements, and delivering associated quality and professional accounting outcomes. You will be expected to maintain bookkeeping duties for a small number of clients, as well as play a role in the tax preparation for individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies. You will work with the Senior Accountant and the Director, helping train you in technical knowledge and reviewing your work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process annual financial statements for all types of entities.
  • Prepare financial report for SMSFs
  • Reconciliation of GST and Div7A loans
  • Prepare Income tax returns and Business Activity Statements (BAS).
  • Reconciliation of bank transactions
  • Assist with payroll services.
  • Assisting with the bookkeeping & quarterly reporting
  • Assist with preparing Tax Planning Figures and Analysis
  • Entering Receipts
  • Setting up tax return jobs / Collating tax return jobs
  • Assisting with the Tax agent portal mail
  • Assisting with the ATO client correspondence and queries
  • Updating the databases
  • Communicating and responding to ATO notices
  • Tax research, staying up to date on tax law changes, and anticipating new tax law changes. 
  • Contribute to tax planning figures and analysis.

Key Requirements:

As an Intermediate Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the financial records of our clients. You will be working closely with our team of accountants to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all financial processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and be able to work independently in a remote setting.

Software Knowledge:

  • Xero
  • MYOB
  • BGL(Preferred)
  • QuickBooks (Ideal, but not required)
