The Role
 
 

 As the Director of Solutions Architecture for the Western US, you will lead and manage pre-sales technical teams to support sales acquisition of new customers and increase account penetration into the existing customer base. Your team will deliver innovative and creative technical designs and represent the company's solutions to customers. You will play an instrumental role in driving the company's growth and exceeding revenue targets by influencing process improvement initiatives and removing barriers.  The role involves managing technical sales environments, focusing on networking, technology, and cloud management. Managing high pressure sort of technical sales environments.

 

The Main Responsibilities
  • Build and lead a high-performance team by hiring and retaining the right talent, setting goals, delegating work, holding team members accountable, and developing and empowering direct reports to make decisions and take action.
  • Strategic Technical Sales Leadership
  • Demonstrate the company's values, maintain a positive open demeanor, encourage different points of view, and move the team forward through change.
  • Develop and ensure attainment of new sales and margin growth for strategic accounts, contributing to the company's bottom line by increasing revenue to meet or exceed company objectives.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation and presentation of technical proposals to customers, providing leadership and technical guidance to ensure full understanding of how the company's services will best meet customer needs.
  • Establish and control expenses and operating budget, participating in the planning process and maintaining the approved plan and budget.
  • Develop and implement long-term product strategy with sales management to provide existing and potential customers with options and enhancements to their existing network.
What We Look For in a Candidate
  • Exceptional strategic planning, account management, and contract negotiation skills.
  • Experience in consultative technical sales techniques and account planning, including account profiling, positioning strategy, customer needs analysis, sales opportunity development, service improvement planning, and long-range account management strategies.
  • Proven ability to hire, manage, and motivate a successful, solution-oriented team.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Working technical knowledge of Lumen Digital, Transport solutions, Networking, AI, Cloud 
  • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience as a strategic member of the sales management team, contributing significantly to business growth and development
  • Ability to develop and ensure attainment of sales, revenue, and objectives for the overall customer segment
  • A clear track record of consistently exceeding revenue goals
  • Technical and product knowledge related to network and data design
  • Operational understanding of telecommunications ordering, provisioning, and billing processes
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Minimum of 10+ years of sales engineering experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience 
Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges:

$144,711 - $192,938 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.
$151,946 - $202,587 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.
$159,180 - $212,237 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
