SUMMARY

The Director of Operations is responsible for managing the hands-on operational aspects of growing business, leading people to perform, driving implementation, sustaining intensity and optimism and living the VISTA values of Integrity, Execution, Dedication and Innovation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides day-to-day leadership and operational management to the respective P & L business lines.
  • Is a positive and pro-active contributor to organization; ability to interact effectively across functions and within broader finance organization.
  • Oversees financial operations of respective business lines.
  • Oversees Division Managers.
  • Oversees the recruiting & scheduling of provider placements.
  • Responsible for strategic planning, monitoring and execution of metrics to ensure revenue, business line performance to budget, profitability, business goals and objectives throughout the company’s operations are achieved.
  • Works with corporate compliance to implement and monitor quarterly compliance audits, provider training and supporting policies and procedures to maintain OIG compliance in all aspects of revenue management.
  • Responsible for effectiveness of internal and external processes.
  • Oversees development of timely, accurate and complete reports on operating condition of the company.
  • Assists in the negotiation of client & provider contracts and the daily coordination and management of operational issues with both client and providers.
  • Spearheads development, communication and implementation of growth strategies and processes.
  • Develops and maintains infrastructure of operating systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate organizational growth.
  • Attracts, recruits, retains, motivates and leads management team.
  • Mentors employees, conducts performance evaluations, counsels and provides disciplinary actions to assigned personnel, and works to facilitate individual and team development that drives positive results.
  • Mentors team; responsible for career development.
  • Fosters a success-oriented, accountable company culture.
  • Responsible for evaluating, selecting, implementing, enhancing and expanding new workflow processes to service more clients and providers.
  • Develops and maintains understanding of financial reporting and operation of assigned divisions, including presentations and communications with clients, providers and employees.
  • Is a key participant in developing responses to RFP’s, presenting proposals and directing/overseeing bid/survey rate requests.
  • Works in conjunction with the COO/EVP to develop new business, grow current business and expand business lines.
  • Represents the organization with customers, shareholders, and business partners.
  • Is willing and able to travel as frequently as the business demands.
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality.
  • Performs additional duties as requested by management 

REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s Degree in business, healthcare administration or relevant field, and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of healthcare sales/management.
  • Minimum seven (7) years’ experience Accounts Receivable, budgeting and resource planning with progression of increasing responsibilities.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience managing healthcare operation staff.
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting, billing, collections, banking/ finance and/or process management.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to work cooperatively with providers, all staff members and external customers. Must have a pleasant disposition and high tolerance level for diverse personalities.
  • Strong leadership, management and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of healthcare trends and their relationship to business lines.
  • Strong personal computer skills including mastery of Microsoft Office products and data base programs.
  • Able to juggle multiple projects, accustomed to tight deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable with presentations to senior management, boards, community groups, physicians and staff.
  • Self-motivated; ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Ability to integrate and harmonize diversified functions.
  • Understanding, influencing, and serving others are importing attributes of this position.
  • Must be able to select, develop, and motivate people, and create a positive work environment.
  • Excellent judgment and decision making skills; able to resolve problems quickly and effectively.
  • Must display a high degree of emotional maturity keeping difficult situations in proper perspective.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Ability to use sensory skills to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through use of the telephone, email, video conference and face to face contact
  • Ability to use manual dexterity, visual acuity and hearing acuity to effectively use and operate office related equipment such as but not limited to a computer, copier, scanner, camera, phone, headset, keyboard and mouse
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time at a keyboard and workstation with low periods of reaching and standing
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Compensation Range

$78,600.00 - $98,300.00

Benefits include: health, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, company-paid life insurance, 401K with discretionary match, paid time off, paid parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
