Nordea Investment Banking is the leading investment bank in the Nordic region. Our renowned Nordic Corporate Finance team is comprised of c. 100 dedicated professionals across the Nordics, of which c. 25 are based in Copenhagen. Together, we have completed some of the largest, most complex and transformative corporate finance transactions from our offices in Copenhagen, Helsinki, Oslo and Stockholm.
Your future role and responsibilities
Nordea Investment Banking offers you the opportunity to join the leading Corporate Finance team in the Nordics. You will work alongside some of the most experienced investment bankers as an integral part of our deal teams that advise and execute high-profile transactions on behalf of our clients. We work closely with the owners, boards and management teams of our clients, ranging from local, family-owned businesses to large publicly-listed, international corporates and private equity funds.
As part of our team, you will learn to master all key disciplines within investment banking including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), initial public offerings (IPOs) and other equity offerings (ECM). You will also be working closely with your pan-Nordic colleagues from other teams within the Investment Bank, gaining exposure to and valuable knowledge of other “products” including Leveraged Finance, Debt Capital Markets and Equity Research.
The position will provide experience across a broad range of tasks, including:
- Company and market analysis
- Financial analysis, modelling and valuation (DCF, LBO, multiples, etc.)
- Preparation of presentation materials
- Information screening and structuring
Who you are
We are looking for ambitious and well-rounded candidates who possess excellent analytical and organisational capabilities, as well as communication and people skills.
You have high intellectual capacity, with strong numerical and analytical skills and a demonstrated flair for finance. In addition to your technical capabilities, you have commercial and strategic acumen, work in a structured manner and thrive in a busy, dynamic work environment. Finally, you are a team player and posses excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a high degree of literacy in Danish and English.
The position is targeted towards full-time employment in the Corporate Finance & ECM team following graduation, and hence we emphasise a steep learning curve for our Assistant Analysts and prioritise continuous feedback to support development of your professional skills. We have a long track record of hiring full-time Analysts among our Assistant Analysts. The position is 25 hours a week with flexibility during exam and holiday periods.
Ideally, you have 1-2 years left until you graduate with a master’s diploma in Finance or Economics. However; we always welcome applicants possessing strong academic skills with other Master’s degrees or alternative backgrounds.
