Head of Global Cloud Services

Job description 

The role reports directly to the VP Group IT Infrastructure and is based in Brussels. It has 12 direct and indirect reporting lines. 

Scope:  

• Office365  

• Microsoft Endpoint suite (SCCM, Intune…) 

• IAM (AD&AAD, Cyberark…) 

• Hyperscalers (Azure) 

• SAP Basis 

Responsibilities oversee specialized domains including infrastructure architecture, cloud security, FinOps, and cloud-native automation, working closely with stakeholders across the Group: 

• Define and execute the Group cloud strategy aligned with enterprise objectives and technology standards. 

• Govern architecture, operations, security, automation, and cost optimization across all cloud services. 

• Lead and develop global teams spanning cloud operations, automation, platform architecture, and FinOps. 

• Ensure compliance with security, legal, and data protection standards across infrastructure platforms. 

• Oversee workload lifecycle, change management, KPIs and SLAs with providers and internal operations. 

• Champion operational excellence through observability, resilience, performance tuning, and continuous improvement of documentation and architectural standards. 

Requirements 

• Solid experience in cloud engineering, IT infrastructure, and platform operations across complex international enterprise environments. 

• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and Zero Trust security principles, with practical implementation experience. 

• Experience in Microsoft Azure, including IAM, endpoint management, cybersecurity, and policy enforcement. 

• Experience leading geographically distributed technical teams and coordinating with external service providers. 

• Solid vendor management experience to negotiate and drive provider contract deliveries (editors, specific outsourced services, technical expertise…) 

• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks using ServiceNow, SLA governance, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, ISO 27001…). 

• Demonstrated success in delivering technology roadmap, while managing cost, software licensing, and long-term platform sustainability. 

• Skilled in mentoring and growing technical teams, with talent for fostering collaboration across senior stakeholders in technology and business. 

• Practical knowledge of FinOps practices, including tagging strategies and cloud budget control.
