\r\nJOB SUMMARY
\r\nThe Network Test Engineer is responsible for E2E testing of Wireless Wi-Fi IP core network and engineering activities supporting other Wireless technologies. This candidate plays a key role in evaluating and certifying Network MOPs and IGs for Core network deployments into Charter's network. The Wi-Fi Core Network Test Engineer creates strategic test plans and perform testing to ensure quality, performance and stability of Wireless products in Charter's network ensuring the highest levels of customer and operational satisfaction. Technologies you will be supporting include, Spine-Leaf topology networks, Wi-Fi Routers, Gateways, Access Points, Service Provider Wi-Fi, and many other new technologies developed based on standards. You will collaborate with Network Architects and Product Development on business and technology requirements and assess vendor solutions to address the requirements and use cases. You will work with Network Architects to create detailed test plans and certification curriculums, proof of concept, and methodologies for analysis of performance criteria. You will also partner with technical operations staff on system design, troubleshooting, configuration and training needs.

\r\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
\r\nActively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
\r\nParticipates in lab network planning, design and engineering.
\r\nEvaluates and certifies Methods of Procedures (MOP) and Installation Guide (IG) in new network solutions, performs network problem resolution in the Lab.
\r\nDefine Test cases, development test plans and documentation of technical test reports.
\r\nTest, certify and approve methods of procedure (MOP) and Installation Guides (IG).
\r\nImplements network enhancements and makes recommendations for improvement
\r\nWorks on projects/ systems/issues of medium to high complexity surrounding network planning, configuration and optimization
\r\nTrack defects on MOPs and IG to development team through ticketing system (JIRA) and follow up for resolution for verification.
\r\nWorks on one or more projects as a project team member, occasionally as a project team lead
\r\nMentor less experienced engineers
\r\nAdhere to industry specific local, state, and federal regulations, as applicable
\r\nKnow, understand and follow company policy
\r\nPerform other duties as requested by supervisor

\r\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
\r\nSkills / Abilities and Knowledge
\r\nShould have excellent knowledge in IPv4, IPv6, routing, switching, various topologies, Access points, WLAN Controllers, in-Home Router, IPv4 / IPv6, TR-069, IPSEC, QoS, 802.11.
\r\nExcellent knowledge in routing, switching protocols. Knowledge in SNMP, RADIUS, CAPWAP, LWAP protocols is a plus.
\r\nExperience developing test automation utilizing Python programming languages is desirable.
\r\nMust have good experience with tools like Spirent, IXIA traffic load generators for Network performance testing and analysis
\r\nShould have knowledge of various Network adjuncts and services i.e. AAA, Diameter, EAP, PDSN, LTE Data, VoLTE, GRE, Soft GRE, L2TP, CAPWEP.
\r\nExperience using protocol communications test equipment and tools (protocol analyzers, CDMA / LTE system simulators, wifi analyzers and packet sniffers).
\r\nUnderstanding and/or experience working with the following is a plus: - DLNA, UPnP, oneM2M architecture - RRC, NAS, SIP, IMS, OSGI, and DHCP.
\r\nMust possess excellent industry knowledge and theoretical understanding of RFC standards, 802.11 specifications (a/b/g/n/ac, SISO, MIMO, MCS index).
\r\nExperience with testing and Q/A of Layer 1 thru 7 networks
\r\nExperience writing and developing detailed test cases and test plans
\r\nMust possess expert skills and experience with server, desktop operating systems and applications (Windows, MAC, Unix, Linux other Java-Linux platforms)
\r\nStrong work ethic with a desire to meet and exceed personal and business goals

\r\nBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience
\r\nProfessional level certification or equivalent work experience

\r\nRelated Work Experience
\r\n5+ years of professional experience in an MSO/ISP Networking Engineering capacity
