ASTRO, the American Society for Radiation Oncology, is looking for an individual with an interest in health policy to join our team that supports ASTRO’s advocacy efforts dealing with coding development and guidance, private insurers and Medicare coverage issues.
The Health Policy Coordinator supports ASTRO’s Health Policy team by coordinating activities related to radiation oncology coding, coverage/payer relations, and code development and valuation. This role is instrumental in managing the intake and tracking of coding inquiries and payer coverage issues, supporting the development of educational resources, coordinating events and other programing, and assisting with regulatory monitoring and Committee operations. The Coordinator will work closely with the Senior Health Policy Analyst and Director of Health Policy to ensure timely and accurate execution of ASTRO’s health policy initiatives.
NOTE: ASTRO offers a hybrid work environment. The position is based in Arlington, VA at ASTRO’s headquarters and eligible for telework up to 3x/week after an initial training period.
