The Inventory Control Coordinator position involves analytical work in managing, regulating, or controlling the level and flow of materials, supplies and equipment through acquisition, storage, issuance, utilization and disposal. Defines stock levels and frequency of reordering through normal acquisition channels, lead time, availability, storage space, frequency of use, and documentation requirements in order to provide installation support in buying, storing, and transferring supplies. Skilled at resolving inventory management problems, questions and situations in a supply operation. Interacts with peers, stakeholders and customers including leadership, engineering, and biomedical engineering to resolve any issues or discrepancies. Works closely with vendors to order medical equipment. Responds to order requests in a timely and professional manner. Responsible for maintaining, and general inventory of all equipment used in patient care areas. Performs in-house work requests. Completes daily rounds of hospital equipment rooms, ensuring all equipment is accounted for and operational. Position requires the ability to lift and move a variety of hospital equipment, perform general maintenance on this equipment, and keep the equipment rooms clean and organized.
