Senior Estimator – Civil Infrastructure | Future Leadership Opportunity

Location: Auckland, New Zealand

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established civil infrastructure business working across a broad range of projects, from road and pavement upgrades through to utilities, structures, and airport works. You'll be joining a growing, high-performing tendering team and stepping into a role designed with succession planning in mind. If you bring the capability and the ambition, this could be your pathway to leadership within 2–3 years.

What You’ll Be Doing

Producing accurate, first-principles estimates across a variety of civil works

Leading and coordinating tenders, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions
Contributing to construction methodologies, pricing strategies, and value engineering
Preparing and reviewing schedules of quantities and material take-offs
Working closely with Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, and Project teams
Mentoring junior team members and playing a key role in developing internal capability
Using CCS Candy (or similar) to manage estimates and submissions

What We’re Looking For

5+ years’ experience in civil estimating or project engineering, ideally in roading, utilities, pavements, or general infrastructure
A relevant tertiary qualification (Engineering, Quantity Surveying or similar)
Strong skills in first-principles estimating — not just reading off past tenders
Experience with CCS Candy preferred, but we’re open to those with strong estimating skills using other systems who are willing to upskill
Site experience is highly valued — especially if you’ve transitioned (or want to transition) into office-based estimating
A collaborative mindset and the potential to lead in the future
