Job Summary:

This position is responsible for overseeing the tax provision, compliance, VAT, and transfer pricing matters of the foreign entities of the global group, and also support the global provision and accounting processes that drive public filing requirements of a US multinational group.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and manage quarterly and year-end foreign tax provisions and financial audit deliverables for foreign operations.
  • Work closely with local country finance and accounting teams to monitor and ensure compliance with direct and indirect monthly, quarterly and annual compliance deadlines and deliverables for foreign operations.
  • Develop and/or review transfer pricing policies and establish transfer pricing documentation for global operations, including local files (where applicable) and any secondary filings.
  • Model and analyze global pre-tax profit mix by jurisdiction to ensure compliance with global transfer pricing policies.
  • Implement and administer IT systems related to Tax and utilize technology to streamline and improve processes.
  • Manage local advisors, local tax audits, and correspond with local tax authorities.
  • Support or lead other tax projects (i.e. technology enhancements, value chain analysis, manufacturing network optimization, intercompany supply chain).

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting; a post-graduate degree in business or tax and a law degree is preferred
  • 5-7 years in a tax accounting role, preferably including transfer pricing and/or global compliance experience
  • CPA certification preferred
  • Proficiency in other languages are a plus

 

Expected Areas of Competence (i.e., knowledge, skills and abilities):

  • Possess a strong understanding of tax and accounting principles under US GAAP
  • Experience in tax compliance functions as well as an excellent understanding of accounting principles, including intercompany and legal entity accounting
  • Expertise in transfer pricing principles, documentaiton, and operational modelling
  • Highly proficient with building financial models and logical spreadsheets, analyze large quantities of data, and working with details and also explain the “big picture”
  • Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills
  • Proficient-to-advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, working with financial tools and data analystics software
