Job Title: Senior Bookkeeper - Strategic Focus
Location:
Remote (MST Time Zone)
Salary Range:
up to 2500 USD

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (MST)

Position Overview:

The Senior Bookkeeper will oversee financial operations for two business lines, ensuring accuracy in reporting, managing payroll, and developing strategic financial processes. The role requires strong technical expertise in accounting software and a proactive approach to process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review invoices for proper documentation and process payments.
  • Categorize, reconcile, and enter monthly transactions and journal entries.
  • Prepare and close financial statements, including balance sheets and P&L.
  • Maintain compliance with financial reporting standards.
  • Collaborate with external CPAs for tax planning and reporting.
  • Manage bi-weekly payroll and accounts payable processes.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, FP&A, and KPI tracking.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
  • Advanced proficiency in QBO, AppFolio, and Excel/Sheets dashboards.
  • Skilled in financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic reporting.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate financial concepts clearly.


Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in real estate and home services accounting.
