Job description

 

At Intrepid, we believe travel is a force for good and as the Contracting Assistant, you’ll help uphold the integrity of our contracting processes for a business committed to creating positive change. 

 

In this role, you’ll provide managerial and administrative support to the Contracting team, particularly with day-to-day operations, to ensure the successful and profitable running of all Intrepid Overland groups and business partners across Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay. You will assist the Assistant Contracting Manager (ACM) with administrative tasks related to supply chain management, including maintaining the supplier list, managing the loading system, and resolving invoicing issues. Additionally, you’ll support the ACM in monitoring and implementing all Intrepid safety standards and risk assessments within Overland operations. You will also serve as a key point of contact for Intrepid staff and business partners based in Rio. 

 

This is a Full-Time Permanent Position that will operate on a remote basis out of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. 

 

Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include: 

  • Strong local tourism knowledge of Brazil, Argentina, and/or Chile, supported by travel experience in the region and a passion for travel. 

  • Travel industry work experience in a destination management company or tour operator desirable. 

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) in both English and desirable in Spanish  

  • Experience in administrative tasks using Microsoft Word and Excel. 

  • Reliable with outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail. 

  • Creative in sourcing good contacts and suppliers within the region
