Job Description:

Seize your opportunity to make a personal impact as a Mid-Level Azure Developer supporting our HHS HRSA customer. GDIT is your place to make meaningful contributions to challenging projects and grow a rewarding career. 

  • As a hands-on Mid-Level Azure Developer, you will work with a team of engineers and SMEs to build, test, validate and demonstrate a complete TIC 3.0 environment with Akamai SASE and Azure services.
  • Will support the migration of existing cloud hosted applications to the new TIC 3.0 environment in Azure.
  • Support Federal Security Impact Assessment (SIA) and Authorize to Operate (ATO) processes for the new solution.
  • Help with technical support in Change Management processes that directly impact production environment.
  • Help build reports for cost estimates for migration to the new environment based upon current utilization.
  • Work with the team, customers and SMEs to develop required logging requirements (splunk, CISA Talon Claw, solarwinds, uptime, etc.).
  • Document and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Perform migration activities from legacy cloud environment to new environment.
  • Document System Security Plan/controls to ensure Cloud SASE solution is deployed meeting NIST 800-53 requirements.
  • Document technical implementation plans and present to customer for approval.
  • Work with Program and Project management throughout the period of performance.
  • Attend team and customer meetings.
  • Perform post migration activities including remediating any issues identified.
  • Provide training to the government, and their successors, on details of the migration process, administration, maintenance, support and operational use of the solution.
  • Participates in special projects, as needed.
  • Resolve technical problems that occur and on-call support for non-business hours.
  • Provide Weekly and on-demand Status Reports on work performed.

Candidate will be required to come to an HHS/HRSA site for fingerprinting, badging process, and security background check.


Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related STEM field and at least 3 years of experience working in a Multi-Cloud (Azure) DevOps environment
  • Certified in at least one or more Azure technologies or have equivalent demonstrable experience in deploying Azure IaC
  • Experience with Azure CLI, Azure PowerShell, and Azure DevOps.
  • Strong experience writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) Templates, Bicep, and/or Terraform for quick/repeatable deployments.
  • Experience with CI/CD and building deployment pipelines.
  • Familiar with Containers (AKS, Docker, and/or Kubernetes)
  • Experience with Azure Networking (Firewalls, Load Balancers, VNets, Network Security Groups (NSG) and Web Application Firewall (WAF)).
  • Experience working with Azure Virtual Machines and Storage.
  • Experience with alerting and monitoring, Events Hub, and Log Analytics Workspace  
  • Familiar with IDP, OKTA, providing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
  • Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust MBI(T2) and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting. Must have resided in the United States in the past three (3) of five (5) years.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint and MS Teams.
  • SCRUM and Kanban Agile Methodologies
  • Experience with MS Teams Planner, ServiceNow and/or JIRA
  • Experience with any HHS agencies or entities
  • Demonstrated strong technical skills and analytic abilities, as well as experience performing system security analysis and risk management.
  • Demonstrated experience performing complex technical tasks with minimal direction.
  • Demonstrated experience in translating an understanding of systems and applications into test plans and perform hands on testing.
  • Possesses experience with communicating vulnerability results and risk posture to stakeholders.
  • Possess a broad knowledge of Azure best practices, policies and guidance.

The likely salary range for this position is $121,680 - $161,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
