In This Role You Will
Provide strategic direction and leadership to the mortgage operations team, ensuring operational excellence, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy that supports business growth, enhances operational efficiency, and improves customer experience. This includes overseeing the implementation and integration of mortgage technology platforms, such as loan origination systems (LOS), document management systems, and automation tools.
Continuously assess and optimize mortgage processes to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve turnaround times using technology-driven solutions.
Implement and maintain effective risk management practices related to technology systems and processes, ensuring cybersecurity and data privacy measures are robust and compliant.
Manage relationships with key technology vendors and service providers to ensure quality service delivery, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with business objectives.
Mentor and develop a high-performing team of technology professionals and mortgage operations staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Work closely with other senior leaders across the organization to align mortgage operations with broader business strategies and initiatives, particularly those involving technology and digital transformation.
Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to both mortgage operations and technology initiatives to measure success and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in mortgage operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Proven track record of successfully leading mortgage operations and technology initiatives.
Deep understanding of mortgage lending regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
Strong technological acumen with experience in implementing and managing mortgage technology platforms (LOS, document management systems, etc.).
Experience with digital mortgage processes, including automation and customer self-service portals.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data and metrics to drive decision-making and process improvements.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate industry trends and translate them into actionable technology strategies.
Experience managing and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
