Job Description
The Senior Manager of School Counseling supports the Director of School Counseling and Career Coaching by operationalizing national strategies, overseeing day-to-day implementation of school counseling programs, and directly supporting counselors and school teams. This role ensures effective delivery of counseling services, postsecondary planning, and 3E (Enrollment, Employment, Enlistment) outcomes across K12-powered schools.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
Operationalize national virtual school counseling models with advisory and homeroom programs that include:
academic advising and course placement;
career awareness and exploration;
postsecondary planning and Grad Plan completion.
Assist in scaling national counseling programs by coordinating the implementation & tracking of Career Readiness Education (CRE) initiatives that include:
dual credit and dual enrollment opportunities;
3E (enrollment, enlistment, employment) Intention; and
Graduation Guarantee
Partner with school leadership, career coaches, and Career Readiness Education (CRE) teams to drive strong 3E outcomes with an emphasis on job placement & job readiness.
Coordinate initiatives that support career awareness and job readiness in collaboration with coaching team leads.
Work cross-functionally to implement platforms such as Naviance, PowerSchool and Canvas and promote usage for effective adoption, planning and tracking.
Track counseling engagement metrics and outcomes to inform continuous improvement efforts and elevate promising practices.
Facilitate Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to support school-based counselors in implementing best practices in virtual counseling, postsecondary readiness, and student engagement.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
State certification/licensure as a School Counselor
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a school counselor, including experience in virtual or blended learning environments
OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong understanding of the ASCA National Model and postsecondary planning framework
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a high visibility and deadline driven environment
Self- starter with strong team & client success orientation
Outstanding communication skills - verbal, written and presentation
Independent problem solver
Excellent Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) and Web application skills
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s Degree preferred
Certification in school guidance counseling and/or career coaching is preferred

Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
