The Sr. Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting in month-end close, account reconciliations, filings with government agencies, and preparation of financial statements. This role assists in analyzing, comparing, and researching current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to ensure proper classification and comparison to budget. This position reviews and resolves problems as they are identified. The Sr. Staff Accountant serves as an informal mentor for new hires.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
General Ledger Accounting –70%
