Repair is seeking an Interim Regional Director (RD) for parental leave coverage from August - December, 2025. The Interim Regional Director will provide internal leadership and supervision across five communities: Chicago, Detroit, Colorado, the Bay Area, and Boston. The Interim RD will coach and support City Directors and local staff, ensure continuity of internal operations and communication, and contribute to regional and national planning efforts. While not responsible for external stakeholder engagement, they will collaborate with development staff as needed to support internal fundraising strategy, tracking, and reporting. The Interim Regional Director will also help steward cross-site learning, seasonal volunteer planning, and programmatic alignment with national goals.
This person will support the organization’s mission, leveraging their deep understanding of Jewish values to foster community connections and engage diverse Jewish audiences in the power of volunteering in the pursuit of social impact. The Interim RD will utilize their expertise in program development to design and execute a strategic calendar of programming. This involves supporting community staff as they create service opportunities that resonate with both the needs of our service partners and the interests of our target audience, with a particular emphasis on deepening participants’ Jewish connections and identity.
This leader will be passionate about the intersection of Jewish values, young adult engagement, and service. They will be a talented experiential Jewish educator, who is deeply committed to maintaining and building community collaborations. They will oversee five city directors who are responsible for overseeing, managing and facilitating all local programming (Jewish service learning programs, service corps, and service ambassadors), as well as local stakeholder engagement and recruitment.
This is a temporary full-time exempt position from approximately August through December 2025. The Interim RD will report to the Senior Director of Community Impact. This is designed as a full-time temporary role, however we are open to a 20-25 hour/week arrangement for the right candidate. This is a remote position supporting teammates on the east coast, midwest, and west coast.

Compensation at Repair the World is based on the salary band for the role and cost of living for the location. The annualized starting salary for this full-time, exempt role is $100,000 - 120,000 dependent on experience and location of the final candidate. As full-time employee, this role is eligible for all Repair benefits including paid time off for service in addition to vacation, sick time, personal days and holidays. Employer covers 100% of full-time employee’s health premiums (medical/dental/vision) for most plans and 50% for dependents. Additional benefits include retirement matching, professional development funds, employer-paid short and long term disability coverage plus access to the Jewish Learning Collaborative and our Economic Access Fund. (Note that for a part-time arrangement, not all benefits are included.)
This position is not included in Repair’s staff union-represented collective bargaining unit.
