Gastro Health is currently looking for an enthusiastic full-time Remote Health Informatics Sr. Manager to join our team!

Senior Manager of Health Informatics leads the design, implementation, and management of health information systems that
support clinical and operational excellence across the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and security of electronic medical records (EMR), practice management systems, and informatics workflows while aligning technology initiatives with clinical quality and business goals. The Senior Manager will provide leadership and direction to cross-functional teams, including Medical Records and the Patient Call Center, and will manage complex projects involving system builds, upgrades, data conversions, and interface development. This individual will coordinate system-wide EMR and practice management implementations, oversee user access and security, and ensure all solutions meet regulatory and organizational standards.

Here are some of the duties you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinates all aspects of implementation, design, and maintenance of company information systems in order to effectively use information technology solutions to improve upon business and clinical operations
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and support of center managers and staff
  • Document, develop, and oversee special projects to implement change, ensure quality, and meet timetables
  • Directs and oversees all policies and procedures related to healthcare informatics management and coordinates needed
    changes based on analysis.
  • Enforce work standards policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Manage and plan complete Practice Management and EMR implementation at each Gastro Health site, including all
    configuration, training, and on-site-go live support.
  • Develop, configure, and manage system builds, upgrades, interfaces, and data conversions.
  • Responsible for ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the electronic Medical Records system.
  • Coordinate and implement decisions made by clinical quality and outcomes Committee including orders, order sets, clinical guidelines, clinical documentation (notes, forms, patient history, conditions, diagnoses, plans), and clinical templates.
  • Ensures proper functioning of company’s information processing systems
  • Oversees records of user access and security, telephone number and provider lists, electronic documentation (wiki share
    folders, emails)
  • Work as a team member with vendors to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems
  • Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored, or accessed by the network
  • Manage the Medical Records and Patient Call Center departments in accordance with organizational policies and goals
  • Establish employee goals and provide skill development advice to staff; conducts performance reviews for said personnel

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA preferred; requires at least 10 years of experience in the field
  • Knowledge of HIPAA laws as they pertain to use of computer software
  • Knowledge of office processes, procedures, and technology
  • Knowledge of company supported hardware, software, and operating systems
