Job description

About ThirdChannel

ThirdChannel is the all-in-one solution for retail execution, driven by passionate brand experts and cloud-based technology. We partner with globally recognized companies to empower their retail teams with actionable data, measurable trust, and a genuine competitive advantage. Our mission is to transform retail through flexible workforces, intelligent insights, and data-backed decision-making — and we’re passionate about the companies we serve and the rep force that supports them.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst who’s passionate about exploring complex retail data and surfacing meaningful insights that directly impact strategic decisions for our brand partners. This role will work across a variety of data sources — from foot traffic and sales to consumer sentiment and supply chain — and help drive smarter, faster, and more predictive outcomes for customers. You’ll play a key part in building our AI-driven insight features, helping clients extract business value from massive and often unstructured datasets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Analytical Projects

Own high-visibility analytics initiatives from scoping through delivery. Work with both clients and internal teams to define goals, conduct analysis, and communicate insights.

  • Requirement Discovery & Business Alignment

Collaborate with brand stakeholders to identify key business challenges and translate them into structured analytics requirements and outcomes.

  • Data Synthesis & Insight Generation

Work across unstructured and cross-system datasets to surface trends, opportunities, and potential areas for optimization. Tell compelling stories with data using both statistical and business lenses.

  • Visualization & Reporting

Create clean, digestible dashboards and visuals that communicate complex findings to non-technical business users and executives.

  • AI Enablement & Automation

Contribute to AI-driven feature development, including tools for automated insight extraction. Experiment with predictive modeling techniques and evaluate emerging AI platforms.

  • Product Support & Feedback Loop

Assist product teams in refining features that rely on data science or behavioral insights. Participate in post-implementation reviews to gather feedback and drive continuous improvement.

  • Operational Excellence

Help optimize internal analytics workflows and recommend improvements to data infrastructure and reporting cadence across customer accounts.

Qualifications
  • 4–8 years of experience in analytics, data science, or applied insights roles
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel/Sheets, and at least one BI platform (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Experience working with unstructured or cross-system datasets
  • Skilled in communicating complex data to non-technical audiences
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to connect data insights to customer outcomes
  • Familiarity with Python or R, especially for statistical modeling or data experimentation
  • Understanding of machine learning or predictive modeling techniques
  • Experience evaluating and recommending analytics tools and platforms
  • Background in SaaS, retail tech, or enterprise software is preferred
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, agile environment
  • Bonus: experience designing and executing A/B tests or data experiments
Why ThirdChannel?
  • Competitive salary ($100–115K), based on location and experience
  • Comprehensive Health, Dental, Vision, and Short-Term Disability Insurance
  • Unlimited Paid Time Off, plus a Company Holiday Calendar
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match
  • Remote-first work environment with optional office space in Boston and New York City
  • Professional development and continuous learning opportunities
  • A creative and inclusive team culture that values innovation, autonomy, and collaboration
