Job description

CASE MANAGER – PERSONAL INJURY – MELBOURNE, VIC

At Allianz, we’re proud to be named one of the Best Workplaces in Australia 2025 and a Great Place to Work. As a leading global insurance and asset management brand, we prioritise care for our customers, the planet, and each other. We hire the very best people to further our commitment to caring and securing the future for our customers.

We offer an inclusive workplace where everyone feels like they belong, while promoting a culture of lifelong learning, development, and global mobility. Join us and share your ideas, be inspired, give back to the community and feel proud to be a part of an organisation doing meaningful work that matters while supporting sustainability, mental health, and well-being.

Let’s care for tomorrow, so we can create a better future together, for everyone.

An opportunity exists for a full-time High Risk Case Manager to join one of our specialised front-end teams in Melbourne, supporting multicultural and linguistically diverse claimants.  The team manages claims from 0-104 weeks, exclusively from small employers.  The unique structure of the team provides the freedom to focus on strategic and innovative approaches, without the constraints and competing priorities that can be typical of standard claims teams.

About the role

  • Proactive claims management demonstrating a person-centred approach to supporting recovery and return to work, within the framework of the legislation
  • Identify and implement strategies to influence safe and sustainable return to work outcomes
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including treating health practitioners, to facilitate access to recovery supports
  • Foster excellent customer relationships by showing empathy, accountability and efficiency, thereby building trust and creating positive experiences
  • Commitment to development and further learning, including maintaining knowledge of the legislation and its application

About you

  • Case management experience, ideally within a personal injury scheme
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, showing empathy, patience and clarity
  • Proven ability to manage your time and prioritise work tasks effectively
  • Excellent customer service skills incorporating a commitment to acting with integrity
  • A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape
