Position Overview:
We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and a passion for delivering successful projects. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will work closely with our project management team to ensure the successful completion of new construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the project management team in all aspects of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution
Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with project plans and specifications
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports
Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met
Communicate project updates and issues to the project management team and clients
Assist in resolving any project-related conflicts or issues that may arise
Participate in project meetings and provide input and recommendations for project improvement
Help to manage project budget and track project expenses
Ensure project timelines are met and make adjustments as necessary to keep projects on track
Assist with project closeout, including final inspections and documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
2-3 years of experience in construction project management
Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
