Salary: £39605.59 per annum
To teach a broad range of Mathematics modules at both International Foundation Year and Pre-masters level, across the three different programmes of study at the centre. (Business, Economics, Accounting and Finance, Humanities, Law and Social sciences, and Science and Engineering)
ABOUT THE ROLE
Planning and preparing lessons in line with departmental expectations, using appropriate teaching methods and resources.
Assisting in the development of modules from existing module specifications.
Preparing module examinations and other forms of formative assessment, marking and providing feedback to students
To act as a module coordinator for a specific maths module
Assisting with the development and maintenance of the virtual learning environment (VLE).
Providing input for related modules to the annual review and reporting process.
Reviewing your own professional development and identifying any training needs.
Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date record of student attendance and performance.
Providing, when/if required, academic learning support to a small number of students.
Participating in regular meetings with both teaching and support staff.
Supporting various student engagement activities around the ISC.
Attending lectures given by Durham University to support student progression.
ABOUT YOU
A Master’s degree or equivalent in a related subject area. (essential)
Fluent spoken and written English. (essential)
A recognised teaching qualification. (desirable)
Teaching experience, delivering Mathematics programmes within a Further Education or Higher Education context. (essential)
Experience of working with international students online and face to face. (desirable)
