SSP Innovations, LLC is looking for a UI/UX Engineer with software and development experience to join our growing business. As a UI/UX Engineer will work closely with the UI/UX Director and the design team to create intuitive and visually compelling user interfaces for the 3-GIS Suite of Products. This role involves translating design concepts into functional and responsive user experiences, ensuring technical feasibility and adherence to established design standards. The UI/UX Engineer will collaborate with designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers to deliver high-quality, user-centered software solutions. Job Duties:
Create wireframes, mock-ups, and user flows given product requirements.
Translate wireframes, mock-ups and user flows into functional and interactive prototypes.
Collaborate with the development team to ensure the successful implementation and technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
Develop and maintain UI design components and style guides, ensuring consistency across all products and applications.
Assist in conducting user research and usability testing to gather feedback for design improvements.
Advocate for user needs and best practices throughout the product development lifecycle.
Work within an agile development environment, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Create and present design deliverables to communicate interaction concepts to stakeholders.
Stay current with emerging front-end technologies and UI/UX design trends.
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in design, Computer Science, or a relevant field is preferred, with 3+ years relevant experience.
Proven experience as a UI/UX Engineer or in a similar role.
Proficiency with Figma.
Strong understanding of front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Experience working with agile development methodologies.
Expert communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with various stakeholders.
Strong time-management and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Software Development, especially front-end web applications
Experience with GIS, preferably ESRI
Understanding of fiber or utility networks
Experience with agile methodology
Working conditions This position operates remotely but requires occasional presence in a professional office environment. This role requires routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copiers. This role may require occasional travel, both domestically and internationally.
