Description

Responsible for building and configuring core, group, and voluntary worksite benefits utilizing various benefit enrollment software. This lead position combines analytic and project management and training skills with an ability to simplify complex information from many sources.

Serves as a lead to leverage EFP’s world-class service guidelines to create exceptional onboarding experiences for each product or service implementation. Ensure client satisfaction and retention through timely solution delivery within defined timelines. Work from required data gathering workbooks, materials, and processes which outline all benefit requirements (i.e. benefit summaries, rate sheets, eligibility charts, contributions, plan types, scope of work agreements, etc.) and will configure the enrollment software for each client’s unique benefit plans, so that client employees can be enrolled, and their benefits tracked in the system throughout the year. Coordinate and conduct systems training for new business and service cases.

Accurately and efficiently cleanse and merge data from multiple spreadsheets and sources to create and upload employee and dependent demographics and in-force data. Coordinate electronic case build that incorporates exchange links and EDI feeds with carriers for new business and ongoing service cases. Apply industry and product knowledge to optimize system configurations and product upgrades and to create benefit statements and conduct benefit eligibility verifications. Research and resolve client, broker, and Benefit Counselor inquiries about enrollment system and process issues.

Communicate regularly and appropriately in-person, on the phone, and via written modes. Develop and maintain positive relationships with and provide excellent customer service to staff, clients, carriers, brokers, and vendors. Keep Implementation Project Manager informed of case progress and issues. Engage in data gathering process with broker, client, and/or carrier, as appropriate


Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required. 5 – 10 years in a comparable position. Health and Life license required within 180 days of employment.

  • Experience with Employee Navigator and/or other enrollment software and be well-versed in employee benefits ranging from medical, dental, vision, group, and voluntary products.
  • Detail-oriented, have exceptional customer service and computer skills, and be able to work under and manage tight deadlines. Job requires extensive use of Excel (manipulating and loading data) and configuring an existing technology system to meet specific benefit requirements.
  • Excellent project management skills. Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage time in order to meet position objectives.
  • Insurance background and/or voluntary benefits experience required.
  • Reliable, professional, attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, able to work with diverse group of clients and staff, ability to work in fast-paced team environment, and flexibility to manage changing parameters and timelines.
  • Ability to demonstrate learning agility and critical thinking skills and apply basic concepts in new situations.
  • Excellent computer skills, including experience with and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; Internet Explorer; databases; and web-based systems.
  • Ability to work constructively and collaborate with team members.
  • Ability to professionally and appropriately communicate with and solve problems for diverse client base.
  • Accurate, thorough and consistent work output
