About Mass Audubon
Mass Audubon is the largest nature-based conservation organization in New England. Founded in 1896 by two women who fought for the protection of birds, Mass Audubon carries on their legacy by focusing on the greatest challenges facing the environment today: the loss of biodiversity, inequitable access to nature, and climate change. With the help of our 160,000 members and supporters, we protect wildlife, conserve and restore resilient land, advocate for impactful environmental policies, offer nationally recognized education programs for adults and children, and provide endless opportunities to experience the outdoors at our wildlife sanctuaries. About This Position
Mass Audubon is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual eager to learn and grow as part of the Northeast Region's Property Team. The Property Manager plays a vital role in supporting Mass Audubon’s mission by undertaking a variety of land stewardship and facility-related projects. Responsibilities include trail maintenance, landscaping and gardening, invasive species management and habitat restoration, as well as building and equipment maintenance. The role also involves coordinating and leading volunteer groups in hands-on conservation efforts.
While this position supports multiple sites throughout the Northeast Region, it will be based primarily at Pawtucket Farm Wildlife Sanctuary (PFWS), a 21-acre urban sanctuary located in Lowell, MA. As a newly established property in the early stages of its development, PFWS offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of an accessible green space within the city. A key component of this role will be fostering strong relationships with community partners, visitors, and volunteers, helping to create an inclusive, welcoming environment that encourages a deep connection to nature.
