At HolidayPirates, we’re on the lookout for a hands-on, tech-savvy IT Systems Administrator to keep our crew connected and our systems sailing smoothly. This position is based in our Berlin office — we’re open to welcoming part-timers or freelancers on board!
DUTIES ON DECK
  • Prepare MacBooks, software and services for new pirates and welcome them onboard. And when the time comes, sunset leavers and take back logins and hardware.
  • Keep a watchful eye on our hardware fleet using our mobile device management system
  • Maintain office hardware – from printers to the Karaoke setup
  • Monitor and keep our local network infrastructure smooth and secure
  • Provide software and services training using live webinars, prerecorded videos and knowledge base articles
  • Keep our IT systems and processes documented and up to date
  • Maintain our asset inventory database
  • Continuously evaluate new IT solutions for different departments
  • Collaborate closely with our HR and Office Management teams
  • Be the go-to tech hero for our crew via walk-ups, Jira tickets, email, and chat
  • Document incidents and requests in our ticketing system
  • Support the development and improvement of our office system infrastructure


YOUR TREASURE OF EXPERIENCE
  • A friendly team player with great communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of macOS and iOS. (Android and Linux are a plus)
  • Solid knowledge of Jamf Pro, Google Workspace, Atlassian Confluence, Jira Project Management and Jira Service Management
  • Basic knowledge of LAN networking, troubleshooting LAN/WiFi issues, VLAN and VPN (OPNsense and/or Ubiquiti are a plus)
  • Awareness of system vulnerabilities and best practices for a secure IT environment
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in IT support, including hardware setup on Mac OSX
  • Training or apprenticeship in an IT-related field
  • Bonus points for bash scripting experience
  • Fluency in German is a must, and strong English skills are also required.
