Positive Athlete, INC. (positiveathlete.org) is an emerging national brand that has been celebrating and developing high-school student-athletes for over a decade. Our mission is simple yet powerful: “to encourage young people to find their own value outside of their athletic ability to positively impact and change the culture of the world around them.” We’re looking for passionate individuals to help us lead the charge as we embark on an exciting national scaling project to reach athletes in every state. This expansion will super-charge our social impact, and help us become the first company to build a national network of high school student-athletes.

Role Overview

Are you driven by the challenge of building something new? Does your entrepreneurial spirit thrive in a fast-growing environment? If so, Positive Athlete is seeking a dynamic and motivated Marketing Coordinator to help support our growing brand nationwide.

In this role, you’ll spearhead the development of Positive Athlete’s marketing and operations team, working to develop systems that scale with our company, while supporting activation of localized and national partnership programs and sponsorships. Your mission: Be a catalyst for growth… In our awards and recognition program; branding and marketing strategy; content creation; relationship with corporate partners.

This is a remote role within a key Positive Athlete market that will require occasional travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Support our Regional Directors and Market Leads with sponsorship and partnership activations, design of pitch decks and content creation (still and video)
• Develop and execute a social media strategy, with an eye towards growing regional and national accounts.
• Coordinate communications with key partners and strategic alliances, including assistance in creating periodic impact reports in coordination with Region Directors for corporate partners, NGBs, and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute growth strategies.
• Aid in planning recognition events for local award and scholarship winners.
• Execute market research and identify trends on social media best practices.
  
  

Qualifications

• High-character and strong intent that is aligned with the Positive Athlete mission.
• 1-3 years of experience in Graphic Design and Video Production (Adobe Creative Suite)
• 1-3 years of professional experience in Social Media Management
• Passion for working with high school sports and educational programs.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and relationship-building skills.
• Four-Year college degree in Marketing, Communications or some other related field.

• Sponsorship activation experience.
• Former high school athlete or experience in high school sports.
