Your Role
The Health & Safety Coordinator plays a crucial role in helping ensure workplace safety and compliance with regulatory and enterprise standards.
This is a part time position working remotely with the ability to visit a site or perform project field audits periodically based on business needs.
Assist in implementation of programs and tracking safety protocol specific to the business
Conduct desktop reviews to support our audit program
Assist locations with development and setup of emergency response plans
Support our supplier qualifications efforts
Perform Hazard Assessments
Assist with development and review of project safety plans or task specific risk registers and/or activity hazard analysis.
Become familiar with and stay updated on federal and state regulations, company standards, and relevant national consensus standards.
Incident reporting and investigation
Assist with internal review and investigation of reported near miss, observations, incidents and associated corrective actions and lessons learned
Maintain records associated with the incident reporting and investigation program
Data collection, analysis and report preparation
Engage in communication with stakeholders via phone, email or ME Teams chat
Participate on committees for special events and prepare content for various program initiatives.
Additional job duties may be assigned based on business needs
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree from an accredited program in Occupational Health and Safety or Industrial Hygiene
2+ Years of recent experience in in field safety or industrial hygiene
Remote requirement - A dedicated workspace with the ability utilize work equipment provided.
Working knowledge of relevant HSE regulations and standards
Detail oriented with strong interpersonal, organizational and ethical skills
Proficiency with common industry software Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Teams
Ability to work independently or within a team environment
Hourly Compensation Range - $33.00 to $41.00 depending on experience
