We vow to be really and truly different from other mental health providers. The mental health field presents barriers not just for clients and the community, but also for the helpers, therapists, and creatives who do this work. We knew that if we wanted to be truly different, we would have to problem-solve barriers in the field at all levels.
Our core values drive all that we do, and help us align with our “why”. We do what we do because it makes sense, and because of science, of course. An abundance of research says that taking intentional time to help your mental health increases your overall wellbeing and life satisfaction. Our services are an opportunity for your brain to take a break. A break that includes support from a professional secret keeper who will ride with you on your emotional journey and offer guidance along the way. Our core values ensure that all of our actions from the impactful connections between clients and therapists to the big business decisions align with our goal of providing innovative mental health services that fill a gap in our communities.
At Ellie Mental Health, we’re all about breaking the stigma, making mental health care more accessible and filling in the gaps. We value authenticity, creativity, humor, compassion, and acceptance. We’re on the lookout for an organized, dependable, and all-around awesome Part-Time Administrative Assistant with experience in the medical or mental health field to help keep our clinic running smoothly behind the scenes!
This is a flexible role averaging about 20 hours per week—perfect if you’re looking for meaningful work that fits your life. You’ll get to mostly work from the comfort of your home (hello, sweatpants!) while supporting our team and the clients we serve.
We are seeking a reliable, organized, and proactive Part-Time Administrative Assistant to support our team. This role averages approximately 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule and the ability to work remotely! However, our ideal candidate is local to the Upstate of South Carolina! Building relationships with our therapists and being in the office occasionally will be integral to excelling in this role! If you are detail-oriented, comfortable managing a variety of administrative tasks, a team player AND able to work independently with minimal supervision, this could be a great fit for you. This is a W2 position with an hourly rate up to $20 per hour (commensurate with experience). Please note that benefits are not included.
What We’re Looking For:
Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
Clear, kind and professional written and verbal communication
A passion for connecting with others
Comfort with using technology and learning new software systems
A proactive mindset—someone who takes initiative and can troubleshoot challenges independently
High level of integrity and respect for confidential information
Experience with and knowledge of medical billing (bonus: experience with credentialing also)
What You’ll Be Up To:
Connecting with clients and partners with a friendly, compassionate vibe—help folks find the right therapist match and get their first appointment on the books, reschedule or provide information
Process medical records and Release of Information (ROI) requests (with therapist approval, of course)
Follow up with clients who haven’t returned, offering support to connect them with a new therapist and assisting with payment collections when needed
Keep our employee files organized and up to date for employment and credentialing (we love good documentation)
Submit and track prior authorizations so clients can access services through Medicaid/Medicare without extra headaches
Stay on top of team reminders to help providers and clients stay connected and informed
Keep an eye on shared inboxes and make sure messages get prompt, thoughtful responses
Offer support to clients who have questions or need help navigating their care
Pitch in with billing tasks when the team needs a hand
Collaborate with our Office Admin on shared projects, task coverage, and making sure nothing slips through the cracks
Handle faxing, scanning, mailing, and other behind-the-scenes tasks that keep our operations humming along
Flexible work from home options available.
