Corporate Accountant

The Opportunity

As the Corporate Accountant, reporting to the Controller, you play a crucial role in the growth and evolution of Dash Social's Finance department. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, improve key processes, and support cross-functional initiatives that drive the company's success. This is a hybrid position, with some in-office presence required to support collaboration and connection across teams.

Responsibilities

Financial Accounting

• Maintain financial records, including posting transactions, journal entries and preparing account reconciliations.
• Support the Accounts Receivable Specialist in the management of accounts receivable.
• Review, code, and confirm trade payables and employee expense reports for accuracy, compliance, and proper tax treatment.
• Support audit requests and requirements, including working with our external audit partners.

Supporting Business Operations

• Work with business partners to ensure the accuracy and completeness of customer contracts for billing purposes.
• Maintain and verify employee commission trackers to ensure accurate payroll payouts.

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Prepare actual vs. budget analyses and provide insights into operating expense trends.
• Support the Controller in project work, as required.

Process Improvements

• Identify opportunities within existing finance workflows and make recommendations for improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and drive process optimization.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Two to three years of experience in a similar role.
• CPA designation or working towards the designation.
• Ability to multitask and manage time in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and love problem-solving.
• Innovative with an ability to identify problems and improve processes.
• Self-motivated.
• Willingness to learn and innovate.
