Job description

Job Overview

Under supervision of the Consumer Insights Manager, develops, executes, and analyzes market research projects. Research is both quantitative and qualitative in nature and may also require incorporation of data from other, secondary sources.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Participates in the design and implementation of research projects in support of the Airport strategic goals.
  • Tabulates and analyzes research data.
  • Develops multi-media presentations and written reports of research results, findings, and recommendations.
  • Assesses, recommends, and develops efficient and effective research designs and methodologies to achieve the client’s objective.
  • Maintains and organizes all research data files and reports.
  • Participates in the quantity and quality control of research contractors to ensure that services received are of high quality and good value.
  • Monitors research contractors to ensure that project schedules are met.
  • Supports Customer Experience staff with research needs.
  • Handles all secondary research requests from various business units within the Airport Board.
  • Stays current on all news relevant to DFW Airport Customer Experience.
  • Generates innovative solutions in work situations and examines all possibilities before making final decision.

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience designing and conducting primary and secondary research, analyzing findings, and developing conclusions and recommendations.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
  • Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of and experience with both qualitative and quantitative marketing research methodologies and a broad range of study designs.
  • Knowledge of and highly proficient with SPSS statistical software.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to extract news and information from credible online sources
  • Ability to analyze diverse sets of data and develop key findings.
  • Ability to design and write research questionnaires.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, both inside and outside the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects within a short timeline.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

What We Desire

  • Travel industry experience or experience within a service industry environment, gained either in a corporate or supplier setting.
  • Master’s degree in market research, business administration, or a related field.
