Job Summary

The Sr Director Enterprise Systems & Solutions leads the management and enhancement of Shake Shack’s corporate and back-of-restaurant applications. This role supports key business areas such as Finance, HR, Operations, Supply Chain, and Legal. It requires a strong blend of technical and functional expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills. The director works closely with IT and business leaders to manage vendors, drive system integrations, and align technology with business growth.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Accountable for ensuring the robust high availability, reliability, and scalability of Enterprise systems (including integrations) to fulfill business demands while minimizing potential downtime.
  • Optimize the use of our ERP as well as enhance the supporting solutions to automate manual processes.
  • Assume a cross-functional Sr. leadership role, harmonizing various business support teams to comprehensively understand the interconnections within the system's process landscape and their interdependencies.
  • Lead and nurture a dynamic team of IT professionals, encompassing system administrators, analysts, support staff, and offshore partners. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and perpetual enhancement.
  • Define, oversee, and manage a suite of metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) designed to monitor the efficacy of the support framework. Develop actionable strategies to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
  • Ensure the accuracy and operational readiness of all runbooks and continuous support documentation for seamless utilization by the support team.
  • Owns and ensures compliance with  ITGCs and SOX controls for systems under purview. 
  • Ensures system integrations meet business needs and are consistent with IT architectural standards.  
  • Own and manage relationships with software vendors, service providers, and technology partners to negotiate contracts, ensure service level agreements are met, and stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
  • Partner with the business to develop strategies for growth, understanding of challenges and drive the outline of optimization opportunities
  • Ensure and maintain strong relationships and communication with Finance, Accounting, People Resources, Development, Supply Chain, Legal, Hospitality, and IT teams in addition to critical vendors.  
  • Take a proactive role in the Enterprise Governance process by gaining a detailed understanding of the business priorities, and proposing cost effective solutions that will address the business need.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Proven experience managing and supporting a variety of applications, such as ERP, HRIS, and other back-office SaaS solutions.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication and partnering abilties.
  • Strong team-building skills, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in managing applications defects and user enhancement requests
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing, managing and optimizing ERP’s and integration points.
  • Proven track record of collaborating outside of IT with business partners
  • Demonstrated experience documenting business problem and translating them to technical solutions
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.

Education or Certificate Details

Degree in IT, Business Management, or Related Field. Master’s in related discipline.

Related Experience

  • 15+ years of managing ERP or other back-office software applications 
  • 12+ years of directly managing internal and/or external resources supporting back-office applications
  • 10+ years of managing software vendors

Pay Range - $204,581.25 - $274,018.75
