Job description

The Road Scholar Institute Network (RSIN) supports a nationwide consortium of Lifelong Learning Institutes (LLIs), fostering collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and innovation among peer-led programs that promote adult education. We’re seeking a dynamic and motivated intern to assist with research, content creation, and digital outreach in support of this vibrant community.

In this internship, you will...

  • Conduct research on trends, best practices, and innovations in lifelong learning and adult education programs.
  • Assist with the creation of visually engaging presentations, reports, and promotional materials using Canva and/or PowerPoint.
  • Support social media efforts by drafting content, scheduling posts, and tracking engagement across RSIN platforms.
  • Help maintain and update contact databases and mailing lists for RSIN communications.
  • Participate in virtual meetings and webinars, taking notes and summarizing key takeaways for internal and external use.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of virtual events, including technical setup and participant support.
  • Provide general administrative support to the RSIN team as needed

We are seeking... 

  • A junior or senior at an accredited college or university or recent graduate; ideally in gerontology, communications, education, or a related field.
  • Strong research, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Canva and/or PowerPoint for creating compelling visual content.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Interest in lifelong learning, adult education, or nonprofit program support.
  • Self-starter with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
  • Experience with tools like Canva, BaseCamp, Zoom, or Google Workspace is a plus.

    Internship Details  

    This 14-16 week internship runs during the fall semester, between September 2025 and December 2025, with some flexibility depending on your school schedule. The internship is remote, 20 hours/week with flexible weekly schedule during business hours. A flat stipend of $3,840.00 is paid for this internship. The stipend is paid at 50% halfway through the internship and the other 50% after successful completion of the internship. College credit where applicable.
