Land Development Project Engineer

Job Description

Complete assigned tasks or projects for various commercial, municipal, and government projects under the general supervision of a manager having responsibility for the project or client. Direct assigned task and project activities, including managing budgets, project staffing, project schedule, quality control, and production of project deliverables. Interact with client representatives and regulatory agencies to meet specific requirements of the task and/or project and able to transfer and explain those requirements to less experienced staff. Maintain proficiency in several of the following: roads, bridges, transportation, parking, non-motorized transportation, structural engineering, construction materials, drainage, wastewater collection / treatment, water supply /distribution / treatment, solid waste, land development, grading and earthwork, industrial, and recreation. Assist with business development activities. Up to 3 days per week remote work from home permitted.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil & Environmental engineering + Engineering in Training (EIT) Certificate + 2 years of engineering experience to include: civil design experience; use of AutoCAD Civil 3D; experience with road design, storm sewer design and water main design; preparing EGLE and other permits; developing bid books and specifications.
