Our Payroll department is looking for an experienced self-motivated system savvy Sr. Payroll Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Sr. Payroll Manager, the Sr. Analysts will work closely with the Accounting, People Ops and Benefits teams. The Sr. Analysts will be responsible for the coordination of all payroll cycles and payroll associated tasks, drive to evaluate and improve processes, and work collaboratively across multiple functions to improve the customer experience.
Responsibilities
Perform a variety of payroll functions in preparation, distribution, and reporting of payroll. Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
Ensure the accurate and timely end to end processing of payroll in LATAM region (including regular salary, profit sharing, vacation, terminations, etc - this is not an inclusive list)
Audit payroll data to ensure accurate processing of wages, alimony, deductions and tax withholdings. (i.e. FGTS, IMSS, INSS)
Process and complete all year-end activities to ensure compliance with regard to filing reports, remittances and returns with appropriate tax authorities.
Document payroll processes and procedures with the ability to suggest best practices and opportunities.
Demonstrate expertise in payroll business processes and understand assigned and cross functional areas, develop and provide training and leadership.
Participate in special projects as assigned, such as documenting workflows, improving processes and procedures, and periodic updates to payroll related forms.
Provide prompt, friendly, and efficient customer service to employees who have questions regarding their pay, deductions, or other items
Assist with internal and external audits and data gathering.
Other job duties as needed.
Qualifications
Requires a minimum of 3+ years’ experience with full-cycle payroll processing in Brazil and other LATAM countries
Experience in termination Calculation, Holidays, Tax, e-Social, R, FGTS and INSS etc.
3 years Accounting/Finance background or similar college diploma/degree.
Experience working in a high-tech, high-growth company preferred
CloudPay and Workday experience is a plus.
Requirements
Current experience and in-depth knowledge of payroll systems and reporting functions
Advanced Excel skills required (vlookup, pivot tables, etc.) & computer literacy required
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in addition to strong problem solving skills in a growing and dynamic environment
Ability to provide excellent customer service and work well in teams to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Ability to thrive in a fast-growing environment where change is the norm; strong multi-tasking skills, and flexibility to switch from one project to the next quickly
Demonstrated ability to hold information confidential with use of appropriate judgment when handling sensitive data
Strong organization skills
Energetic and dedicate, “Can do” personality with the ability to hit the ground running
Attention to detail and accuracy a must
Must be able to speak/write Portuguese and Spanish.
