CAD Mechanical Technician

Are you an experienced mechanical technician with strong CAD skills looking for a position with a leading company? R&E Automated Systems is looking for you to join our team! We are an industry-leading technical resource firm who actively supports our manufacturing clients' efforts during build, launch & production, including some of the nation's biggest companies. Our client has a need for a CAD-proficient mechanical technician with great work ethic and communication skills.

Position Duties:

Create and modify 3D CAD models and technical drawings
Support manufacturing operations with technical expertise
Perform quality inspections and measurements using precision instruments
Collaborate with engineering and production teams on technical projects
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement solutions
Maintain accurate documentation of designs and changes
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Ensure completion of all assigned tasks

Skills Required:

2+ years experience in mechanical design/drafting using CAD software
Proficiency in industry-standard CAD programs (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Experience with precision measurement tools and techniques
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Strong organizational and administrative skills
Ability to multi-task efficiently
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, team-building, and communication skills
Experience with Automated Mobile Robots (AMR) or Automated Mobile Vehicles (AMV) a plus
CMM experience a plus

Education Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Education Preferred:

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, CAD Design, or related technical field
