The Role

At Abby Care, community is our greatest strength—and we’re looking for a Community Events Specialist to bring that to life. This is a Full-Time opportunity based in Denver, CO. This role is all about creating meaningful, consistent, and inclusive touchpoints that connect families, reduce isolation, and foster a sense of belonging among our members. From park playdates to moms' nights out, you’ll design and execute events that build community, generate word-of-mouth referrals, and amplify our mission. You’ll be the face of Abby Care in the community—part strategist, part storyteller, and always a connector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research, plan, coordinate, and host a variety of weekly events across Colorado (family-friendly, caregiver-only, informal, and signature experiences).
  • Manage logistics for events including location scouting, budgeting, marketing, materials, and refreshments.
  • Serve as an on-the-ground representative of Abby Care—sharing our story, building trust, and deepening relationships.
  • Track key engagement and conversion metrics to evaluate impact and optimize event strategy.
  • Foster and grow a thriving caregiver network by ensuring a sense of community at all events.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate events into broader growth, outreach, and retention strategies.
  • Stay attuned to caregiver needs, community trends, and local opportunities to increase reach and relevance.
The Requirements
  • Must currently reside in the Greater Denver Metropolitan Area
  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent 4-year degree in Marketing, Communications, or Public Health
  • 1–3 years of experience coordinating events for groups of 25 or more, with direct involvement in event logistics
  • Experience in community engagement, event coordination, outreach initiatives, or grassroots organizing efforts
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel locally for events and participation
  • Comfortability to operate independently in a field-based environment
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred

Our Value Prop to You
  • Environment for growth and learning. You will have the opportunity to drive great impact and gain exposure to all functions of the company. At Abby Care, you can flex multiple realms of your interpersonal skillset and creativity.
  • An energizing, compassionate team. Our team cares deeply about each other. We strive to elevate and uplift each other in our day-to-day work to do the best for our families. We don't believe in bureaucratic nonsense.
  • A purpose-driven organization. Everyone at Abby Care embodies our mission and is proud of the work we do. You will be a key part of our team
  • Supporting your wellbeing. We provide benefits to allow you to do your best work:
    • Competitive medical, vision, dental, 401K, and life insurance
    • Work from home options and equipment provided
    • Generous paid-time-off (PTO), company holidays, and paid parental leave
    • Paid company trips and team bonding retreats
