Job Details

Description

The Human Resources team at Franklin University is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated HR Student Assistant to support a variety of administrative and operational functions within the department. This position provides hands-on experience in several key areas of HR, including Engagement, Benefits & Wellness, HRIS, and Recruiting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to inquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, interviews, and department events
  • Provide general administrative support, including document preparation and data entry
  • Help support wellness and employee engagement events
  • Contribute to special projects that support HR initiatives and process improvements
  • Support the coordination and promotion of HR-led training and communications (e.g., flyers, announcements, etc.)
  • Participate in regular HR team meetings and contribute ideas

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality

Eligibility & Schedule:

  • Must be a current Franklin University student
  • Able to work up to 19 hours per week, Monday–Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
  • In-person presence required on our downtown Columbus campus; a hybrid work schedule may be considered
