The Human Resources team at Franklin University is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated HR Student Assistant to support a variety of administrative and operational functions within the department. This position provides hands-on experience in several key areas of HR, including Engagement, Benefits & Wellness, HRIS, and Recruiting.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to inquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner
Assist with scheduling meetings, interviews, and department events
Provide general administrative support, including document preparation and data entry
Help support wellness and employee engagement events
Contribute to special projects that support HR initiatives and process improvements
Support the coordination and promotion of HR-led training and communications (e.g., flyers, announcements, etc.)
Participate in regular HR team meetings and contribute ideas
Qualifications:
Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality
Eligibility & Schedule:
Must be a current Franklin University student
Able to work up to 19 hours per week, Monday–Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
In-person presence required on our downtown Columbus campus; a hybrid work schedule may be considered
