Position Overview

We are currently seeking an Entry-Level Environmental Scientist to join our Hunt Valley, MD office. This position will support our Mid-Atlantic Fuel Compliance Program through field inspections, environmental testing, and technical report preparation. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with environmental site assessments, including soil and groundwater sampling.

This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to gain hands-on field experience and build a foundation in environmental consulting.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field inspections and environmental compliance assessments for fuel systems (ASTs/USTs)

  • Perform environmental sampling of soil, groundwater, and other media

  • Prepare detailed field documentation and technical reports

  • Assist project managers and technical teams with data analysis and reporting

  • Follow safety procedures and project-specific work plans during all field activities

  • Support additional environmental tasks as needed across multidisciplinary teams

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field

  • Willingness to perform field work in varying conditions, often as part of a small team

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience or familiarity with:

    • AST/UST compliance, environmental site characterization, or remediation

    • Construction sites or environmental fieldwork

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to complete assignments independently and accurately

Note:  This position requires specific driving duties. You must be able to pass a motor vehicle records check required by our insurer.

Drug Screen Statement

Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen.

Pay Range
$54,000—$68,000 USD

The EA pay range for this position is intended as a general guideline and does not guarantee specific compensation or salary. Factors considered when making an offer include job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, alignment with market data, and compliance with federal and state laws.
