Your role in our mission
Apply your skills to support Gainwell as we help clients deliver better health and human services outcomes.
- Design, development, coding, testing, installing, and supporting financial applications in a Cobol environment.
- Support coordination between application architects and developers to make sure design requirements are accurate and deliver the desired ROI for clients.
- Define and develop project requirements, functional specifications and detailed application solution designs for clients.
- Focus on the details as you develop technical documentation and test plans to support integration and deployment.
- Advance key goals and objectives for Gainwell and our clients by working closely with software developers.
What we're looking for
- 3+ of applications development and batch programming experience using UNIX, LINUX and C
- Experience with COBOL (running on Solaris Unix and upgrading to Linux)
- Experience with SQL (SQL Server, Oracle and/or DB2)
- Experience with software design and application development policies and procedures across all phases of the development life cycle
- Healthcare - Provider Claims experience is highly desired.

- Communication skills to communicate with application developers, customers, support personnel and management
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and switch between tasks quickly

The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
