Title: IFS Product Engineer
Job Type: Contract
Contract Duration: 9 Months
Location: Remote, Nearby Richardson, TX,(Must be from CST time zone)


Job Summary:
  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IFS Product Engineer to join our dynamic IT team.
  • This role is pivotal in the administration, configuration, enhancement, and support of our global IFS ERP environment.
  • The ideal candidate adept at working within a SAFe Agile framework, possesses deep techno functional expertise, particularly with IFS Applications 7.5 (mandatory requirement), along with experience or strong familiarity with IFS Cloud.
  • This position involves managing system configurations, developing and maintaining integrations, performing system administration tasks, participating in IFS installations and upgrades, and supporting global deployments.

○ Provide L2/L3 technical support for IFS application

Key Responsibilities:

IFS System Administration & Support:
  • Perform day-to-day administration of the IFS ERP system (IFS 7.5), including user management, security configuration (Configuring permissions, roles), performance monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage IFS environments (Development, Test, Production), including patching, maintenance, cloning, and backups/recovery coordination.
  • Manage Application, Web, Print and Database Servers including SSL certificate renewals and fine tuning of server resources.
  • Manage Centura, IEE and B2E Clients.
  • Provide L2/L3 technical support for IFS application, diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues related to system performance, configuration, and integrations.
  • Liaise with IFS support and third-party vendors for issue resolution.
  • Monitor system health, logs, background and batch jobs, IFS connect transactions proactively identifying and addressing potential problems.

IFS Configuration & Development:
  • Configure and customize IFS modules according to business requirements using standard IFS tools (e.g., Custom Objects, Custom Events, Custom Menus, Profiles, Roles)
  • Advanced Aurena pages and Lobby design and configuration in IFS Cloud.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for configuration or minor development tasks.
  • Develop and maintain IFS reports and data extraction processes.

Integration Management:
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain integration between IFS and other enterprise ERP, HR, IAM systems. SAP, Salesforce and SailPoint preferred.
  • Utilize MuleSoft as an integration platform for connecting IFS with other applications.
  • Develop SOAP based web services in Java utilizing IFS Developer Studio and other standard IFS integration technologies (e.g., IFS Connect, REST APIs).
  • Troubleshoot integration errors, ensuring data integrity and process continuity.
  • Monitor integration performance and data flows.

IFS Installation & Deployment:
  • Participate in the planning and execution of IFS 75/ Cloud installations, upgrades, and patch deployments across multiple environments.
  • Support global deployment projects, including environment setup, data migration tasks, and post-go-live support for international sites.
  • Manage IFS environments across different geographical locations, considering localization and regulatory requirements.

Documentation & Best Practices:
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for system configurations, integrations, processes, and procedures.
  • Adhere to and promote IT best practices, including change management, security policies, and coding standards.
  • Stay current with IFS releases, technologies, and industry trends.

Collaboration & Communication in SAFe Agile:
  • Actively participate in and contribute to SAFe Agile ceremonies, including PI Planning, Sprint Planning
