Job description

About Us

Great games aren’t just made—they’re crafted by people who care. At Chimera Entertainment, we’ve spent nearly two decades building games that leave a mark, from Angry Birds Epic to our latest IP, Songs of Silence. Based in Munich, we’re an independent studio working on original IPs and work-for-hire projects across PC, console, and mobile.

What sets us apart is how we work. We believe in collaboration, ownership, and an uncompromising drive for quality. We know each other’s strengths, support one another, and challenge ourselves to keep getting better. If you’re looking for a place where you can contribute, grow, and make a real impact—Chimera is the place to do it.

Your role:

This is not your average internship. At Chimera, you’ll be embedded in a real production team, learning from experienced developers and contributing to actual games in development. No filler tasks—just real work, real feedback, and real growth.

We are currently offering mandatory internships (Vollzeit, Pflichtpraktikum) for students with a solid foundation in their discipline and proven Unreal Engine skills. Whether your focus is programming, art, animation, or technical art—you’ll be part of a professional pipeline, learning what it really takes to ship a game.

The internship is onsite in Munich and available immediately. Remote work is not possible.

Role Overview
You are:
  • Enrolled in a relevant study program that requires a mandatory full-time internship
  • Curious, proactive, and excited to grow in a real production setting
  • Comfortable communicating in English (our team is international)
You bring:
  • Solid knowledge of Unreal Engine (required for all internship roles)
  • A foundation in one or more of the following areas:
    • Game programming
    • 2D/3D art
    • Animation
    • Technical art or design
  • A strong portfolio or GitHub/Artstation/etc profile that shows your skills and potential
What's in for you?
  • Hands-on experience – Work on real projects in a live production environment
  • Mentorship – Get feedback and guidance from experienced developers and team leads
  • Studio culture – Friendly, flat hierarchies and an open, collaborative team spirit
  • Learning by doing – We support you, but we’ll also expect you to step up
  • 450€ monthly compensation – To help support your internship
  • Well-stocked studio library – Books, games, consoles—creative fuel included
  • Free coffee, drinks, and fruit – We’ve got the basics covered
  • Located in Munich – Join a diverse team working on exciting, high-quality games
What happens next?

Apply with a CV, a short motivationalletter and a portfolio, that shows what you’re capable of.

This is your opportunity to step into game development—
not just to observe, but to contribute.
If that’s what you’re looking for, we’d love to hear from you.
