Location

Asda House – Based in Central Leeds, with the option to work from home two days a week (Tuesday & Thursday). This is depended on Business needs.

“Find your role”  

In this role you will be required to manage and control the fuel delivery through our 3rd party fuel logistic partners, at minimum cost and great service. You will also manage the relationship with the haulers and manage emergency response in case of possible business disruptions.
Central fleet Operations working as part of the central fleet operations team you will be responsible for working alongside your peer group and senior team members in delivering first class logistics to the Asda estate (Depots & Stores).

Key Accountabilities:

Central Fleet Operations:

  • Utilisation – Own the utilisation histograms creation and site engagement process to ensure all sites have the correct level of equipment. Track any activity to support any decision making.
  • Own the weekly reporting for Tractor/Trailer/Refrigerated Trailer Utilisation submitting this to site teams and central finance on a weekly basis.
  • Work alongside your line manager and peer group to align annual Procurement cycle to business needs.
    New Fleet, Extensions, Decommission, Q4 & Q1 fleet alignment.
  • Leading a team of two direct reports who are responsible for the administration of fleet admin processes: CCTV, ESG Reporting (Environmental, Sustainability and Governance), Fuel Card, Fuel Invoice accounts, Monthly fuel allocations (terminals), Daily Fuel reporting & “O” licence administration.
  • Reviewing quarterly the DVSA manufacturer re-call against Asda asset list.
  • Supplier Engagement – Supplier Segmentation, meeting set up

Fuel Management:

  • Manage transportation contracts by working in partnership with our procurement and legal teams
  • Define yearly logistics budget in collaboration with fuel haulage contractors in collaboration with senior members of the team.
  • Ensure operational KPI’s are being followed up and improved
  • Monthly performance reviews with all suppliers ensuring we are driving accountability on performance and costs
