About the role:
As a Solution Architect specialising in web, application, AI, and integration solutions, you’ll design and deliver scalable, secure, and user-centred systems that support business goals and enhance student, staff, and academic experiences.
Your focus will be on core platforms such as Canvas (LMS), Salesforce, Dynamics, Banner (SIS), and ServiceNow, integrating these through tools like Informatica and ensuring alignment with architectural best practices and security principles. You’ll evaluate emerging technologies including AI, RPA, and integration platforms and guide solution roadmaps that modernise and optimise our digital landscape.
Working closely with product, IT, and business leaders, you’ll champion architecture strategies, mentor teams, and ensure the solutions you shape are robust, forward-thinking, and aligned with user and organisational needs.
Day-to-day accountabilities:
The Solution Architect is responsible for improving business and digital capabilities through robust solution design, stakeholder collaboration, and strategic technology choices.
Accountabilities include but are not limited to:
Design and deliver architecture solutions for applications, integrations, and enterprise systems that are scalable, secure, and aligned with user needs and university objectives.
Evaluate and lead adoption of new technologies that support innovation and modernisation, with a strong focus on automation, integration, and long-term sustainability.
Champion best practice architecture and governance, ensuring design and security standards are consistently applied across all solutions.
Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, product, academic, and business areas to co-design solutions that elevate the digital experience for students, staff, and academics.
Contribute to architectural practice maturity, helping evolve frameworks, patterns, and tools used across the technology landscape.
Who you are:
You are a strategic, solution-focused architect with over 10 years of experience designing and delivering complex web, application, and integration solutions. You thrive in collaborative environments and bring strong technical and communication skills to influence and guide stakeholders at all levels.
What you bring:
Strong skills in web/app development, integration tools, and EdTech platforms
Experience with Canvas, Salesforce, Dynamics, Banner, and ServiceNow advantageous
Knowledge of microservices, hybrid architectures, and security design
Proficiency in architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF) and modern solutioning approaches
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
A curious mindset, with the ability to assess emerging tech and translate it into real impact
