About the role:
The Operational Enablement Lead is responsible for supporting the day-to-day execution of freight operations for one of TGE`s key customers by ensuring timely and accurate handling of delivery-related enquiries, with a strong emphasis on Proof of Delivery (POD) accuracy and compliance.
This role acts as a key support function within the operations team, managing POD follow-ups and freight issues, and providing responsive communication to both internal teams and external customers. It requires high attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Note: This role will require interstate travel. Car provided and all associated travel costs (fuel, accommodation, meals) will be covered by TGE.
What You’ll Do:
Coordinate day-to-day freight handling and depot and agents’ operations, ensuring freights processed, scanned, and dispatched in line with operational standards.
Manage the end-to-end POD process, including chasing missing PODs, validating delivery information, and ensuring timely upload and availability within internal systems.
Respond to and resolve freight-related enquiries, including redirections, re-deliveries, short deliveries, left card enquiries, and missing or damaged freight.
Work closely with drivers, depot staff, and other operational teams to investigate and resolve POD or delivery discrepancies within agreed SLAs.
Accurately update and maintain delivery status and case information in systems such as Salesforce or equivalent platforms.
Liaise with customers to provide updates and resolution outcomes, particularly where POD confirmation is critical to service delivery or payment processing.
Support scanning compliance through daily monitoring and escalation of non-compliance.
What You’ll Bring:
Previous experience in an Operations or Freight Co-Ordinator role within a busy operations environment (preferably transport or logistics)
High level of safety awareness and committed to driving same
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritise workload and achieve results through people.
Commitment to customer satisfaction, both internal and external
Proven ability to build and maintain excellent relations with management, both internally and externally
Lateral thinker with hands on attitude
A sound ability to work under pressure and autonomously without direction.
Proven problem-solving ability with a solution orientation.
