Our client is building the future of Arabic voice automation—an AI system that speaks, understands, and responds naturally, handling calls 24/7 across industries without additional hiring. The Team
You’ll join a diverse group of engineers, researchers, and builders dedicated to enabling natural conversations between people and machines. The team is remote-first, with an optional office in Riyadh, and brings together talent from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, the US, and beyond. The work is divided into two squads—one focused on Arabic machine learning (speech, NLP, TTS), the other on real-time voice agent infrastructure.



Requirements


The Role
As Engineering Lead, you’ll report directly to the Co-founder & CTO and take ownership of the company’s technical roadmap, team development, and engineering culture. You’ll lead both ML and Infrastructure squads, tackling ambitious challenges like ultra-low-latency streaming, voice-to-text for Arabic, scalable backend systems, and real-time AI-human interactions.

You’ll also collaborate closely with enterprise clients to deliver high-performing integrations and help establish technical best practices across the organization.


Responsibilities
  • Lead and grow two technical squads (ML and Agent Engineering)

  • Own and evolve the system architecture with a focus on scalability and performance

  • Stay hands-on when needed, especially around major releases

  • Drive engineering excellence through best practices, code reviews, and mentoring

  • Collaborate with product and design teams to build new voice features

  • Support enterprise clients with onboarding, integration, and workflow optimization

  • Foster a culture of ownership, fast iteration, and continuous learning


What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role

  • Strong backend experience, building distributed, low-latency, or real-time systems

  • Proven track record of building or scaling infrastructure used in production

  • Bonus: experience in voice technology, speech recognition, or deploying ML systems

  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
